Yes, Jason was a bit of a surprise for a first attempt at amigurumi. The cat, who of course has a serious yarn fetish, won't even play with him. Go figure... You know, I'm just returning to crochet after many years of shying away from it. For some reason my first attempts amounted to a pretty bad experience. My return to it was prompted by my search for a flower to cover up a craft fail on a clutch purse. Then the snow storms came, and when the snow finally abated, I actually understood why so many say crocheting is easier than knitting. Now I've become a crocheting fool. However, I won't do anything big. My attention span won't last longer than one granny square. I think NaBloPoMo will be fun. I need that extra kick to get me in here and actually writing. If you are using a worsted weight yarn, use a size F hook. I know a lot of the patterns tell you to use a G, but trust me, use an F.
